Review | TheFaceShop Face It Smart Capsule CC Cream

Saturday, 15 February 2014
Hello, beautiful people! It's Saturday! Since I don't have anything much to do today, I decided to update this blog. I know I've been updating rather slowly these days.

Anyway, today I'm going to review on of CC creams that I'm using right now which is this Face It Smart Capsule Color Control Cream with SPF40 and PA++ from none other than TheFaceShop. Apparently there are 2 choices of shade or tone for this product and I picked up the Perfect Skin Tone #2.

As you may already know, I also have the other product from the same line, which is Face It Aura Color Control Cream in Medium Beige. Do check it out by clicking here.

First, let's talk about this line of products first.

A revolutionary color-changing CC cream that helps find and create the best complexion shade of your own.
It controls the color of face complexion from the inside and outside of the skin, promoting brighter skin tone.

This line offers both skincare and Makeup effects. As for skincare effects, this product offers you brightening, anti-wrinkle, sunscreen, moisturizing, and hydrating. At the same time, this product will give you the makeup effects which are Brighter Skin Tone, Increase in Skin Luminosity, darkening proof, and of course long-wearing.

Now, let's talk about the Packaging:

The packaging is the same as its sister product, it came with a soft pink and grey box. It's metallic hues really appealing to me.

The product itself is housed within this soft pink bottle. I honestly never seen a packaging like this before so yeah, it's cool.

There's a product description on the side of the bottle. Note that this product is wearable 12 months after opening. Use the product right after dispensed.

The expired date is at the bottom of the bottle.

Texture and consistency:

Like it claims, the product is like a whipped cream, it's so soft on my skin! Can you see the yellow, black and red pigments in the cream?

As for the scent of the product, since it contains fragrance, the scent isn't that strong or anything. it's rather pleasant for me. hehe

Verdict:

On the left is my bare skin right after cleansing. Still working on my breakout scars. Sigh. As you can see on the right, that's how it looks like when I swipe the product on my skin. The capsules will blend in with the cream and find the most ideal complexion shade for me.

On the left, that's how it looks like after I'm finished blending the product on my skin. I just love the powdery finish. Unlike the Face It Aura CC cream, it doesn't give me a dewy finish as it's more on the powdery side. From above photos, you can see that the coverage is light but yeah, it's buildable. Sometimes, I even layered this CC cream with a BB cream. Gives me better-looking skin that I want especially during special events.

By using this CC cream also, my powder pact lasts even longer as this too has sebum control I should say. Thanks to its powdery texture I guess. On the right photo, that's my skin after 2 hours. Totally love this product as usually my skin will start to shine after an hour or so.

Final verdict: Now this is hard. I guess 4/5. I love everything about this product but as it contains parabens, so yeah. A minus point. I'll be more careful buying products in the future.

I got this during the time when it just launched in Malaysia which is around September with the retailed price of RM109.90 and I think I got 15% discount at that time. Check out the rest of the stuffs I got in my October Haul. Oh, I remember getting this product with lots of freebies. It was 10th Anniversary Sale anyway.

I guess that's all for this review. Do share if you have any thoughts on this product. If you guys have tried similar product, do share as well. Would love to know about them.

Until next post, au revoir!
