Review: Etude House It's Real Mini Pack: Chestnut Shell

Wednesday, 5 March 2014
Annyeonghaseyo!  Happy Wednesday! Oh, I love Wednesday! Why? 'Cause I don't have lectures on Wednesday! Teehee~

So Wednesday is the day where I usually trying out samples and whatnot. So I guess, I'm going to review another wash-off mask from Etude House, which is this It's Real Mini Pack, Chestnut Shell

Basically, there are 5 featured ingredients for this line, which are Broccoli (Antioxidant Care), Sea Kelp (Moisturising Care), Carrot (Brightening Care), Chestnut Shell (Exfoliating Care) and Pumpkin (Lifting Care),

Product Description:
Formulated with 6250mg of Chestnut Bark.
Makes skin feel luxuriously soft and radiant.

Paraben, tar, artificial flavours, talc and mineral oil free.

Net vol.: 12g

How to use:
One pack can be divided into 2 to 3 uses. For me, I divided into 2.
It's either put on the mask pack on dry gauze and let the essence seeps into your skin or you can just put the mask pack directly on your skin for about 15 to 25 minutes.

Packaging:
These mask packs are called mini packs because this product actually comes in full size with the shapes of bottles. So, this is actually like great samples for those like me who love to try masks and packs. I honestly couldn't get enough of these!

This mini pack come in this butter-pack but you can get product description at the bottom of the pack. As the English description is written the inside label,  please tear them carefully as it's so easy to just rip the whole thing. Hehe

Since it's featured ingredient is Chestnut Shell the illustration is in brown hues. So cute!

That's basically how it looks like. When I first saw it, I thought it's a melted chocolate ice-cream!! Haha It contains chestnut bark chunks in it and definitely give me the homemade wash-off masks feeling to it.

Here's how it looks after massaging the mask pack on my skin.

That is after the mask pack has dried up.

Verdict:
When I put on the mask, though I don't store this in a fridge, I felt a cool sensation on my skin. Totally love that!

As per usual, as this is indeed a 12g product,  I divided into 2 portions and used one portion only and applied on all of over my face and some neck area. While massaging, I can feel the chunks but it's not that harsh on my skin. I left it on my skin for about 20 minutes and realised the pack had dried up but I still can move my face, though that actually isn't recommended. Hehe Definitely don't want to have early wrinkles.

After I'm done with the washing part, I was left with a super soft and slightly brightened skin.

I can tell that the pack helped me removed my dead skin cells because when I use my Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum that usually wiped off those dead skin cells (can be seen on the cotton pad), I don't see it this time.

Final verdict: 5/5. it's a 5- free product, give the result that I had expected and I totally in love with this variant. Totally will be repurchasing.

The retailed price for this product is RM9.90 in local Etude House store and as I got it during the weekend during November, it was on promotion and I got another pack for free, which is the Carrot mini pack. Reviewed here.
