Review: TheFaceShop Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam in Charcoal

Wednesday, 12 March 2014

Anyway, today I'm going to share with you guys about a cleansing foam that I've been using for about a month now, which is the previously reviewed product sister, Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam in Charcoal.

Judging from the featured ingredient, you guys may already know that this is a product that you need if you want to deep cleanse your skin after having a long day at school or work.

Product Description:
Deep cleansing facial foam with the Black Formula containing charcoal thoroughly cleanses skin impurities, make-up residue and sebum inside pores with its maximum absorption and rich foam.

How to use:
Dispense an adequate amount and lather fully with water. Massage gently onto the entire face and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Ingredient list:

Do note that this product contains parabens. Though I'm not sure if it's organic or artificial.

Packaging:

As you guys can see from the photos above, it comes in white plastic tube. using real photos of charcoal as illustration. I like this kind of minimalist style of packaging.

As indicated, use the product within 12 months and use product right after dispensed. Remember to avoid eye area! It kinda hurt last time the foam went into my eyes. T__T

When I first bought this, it's fully wrapped in plastic! I feel so good about this as I made sure this isn't open or anything. So sorry as I haven't got the chance to format my all-in-one PC and install Photoshop.

I mentioned this before, I like this kind of caps. Locked in the product properly and secured.

Another one thing, it's also sealed before open so it's all good. :)

That's how the foam look like. It definitely doesn't run like water but it's not like a toothpaste either. you get me? hehe I'm lost at words. it's creamy indeed. Maybe it can't be seen in here but there's actually beads in it. Is it charcoal? I'm not sure. But it's not a lot of them so it's not harsh.

Add water to lather it up into fluffy foam. :)

If you want fluffier foam, you can use the cleansing sponge. I love using them together. Totally deep cleanse my skin!

Verdict:
When I first saw the black foam, I was kinda surprised a bit. Totally not used to that. hehe But it's not really big of a deal.

The scent is like any regular soap. It's not really overpowering as well.

I personally use this cleanser alternately with the Green Tea version as I did used this cleanser 3 days in a row and noticed it's kinda dried up my skin a bit. So yeah, befitting of its purpose, I use this once in 2 days.

One thing that I like about this cleanser, it leaves me with a very soft and supple skin after washing it off with water.

Final verdict: 4/5. I love it but yeah, as it contains parabens, I want to be more careful after this in buying cleanser in the future.

I got this during my December Haul and the retailed price is RM32.90 and I remember there was a sale during that time.

I think that's all for the review. Hopefully this this review will help you guys.

I'll see you guys next post! Annyeong!
