Review: TheFaceShop Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam: Green Tea

Friday, 14 March 2014
Today, I'm going to review another cleanser that I'm using right now, I bet you guys can already guess that I'm juggling 4 cleansers right now as I have different cleanser for mornings and evenings.

This cleanser is actually a sister product of a product that I reviewed previously which is this Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam in Green Tea.

Product Description:
Facial foam with green tea powder which cleanses skin impurities and make-up residue with rich and mild foam and provides skin refreshing and sparkling finish.

Direction:
Dispense an adequate amount and lather fully with water.
massage gently onto the entire face and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Vol.:

Ingredient list:

Of course there's Camellia Sinensis i.e. Green Tea Powder in it. Green tea extract is naturally rich in antioxidants, which has a cell-protecting function as well. It’s a strong antioxidant effect that protects the skin from the damaging effect of free radicals. Green tea extract also contains the Methylxanthines that stimulates skin microcirculation and therefore positively influence the tone and health of the skin.

Not only it contains the famous 5 parabens, it also contains phenoxythanol, another preservative. I wonder why they still put parabens in it even though there's phenoxythanol in it.

Packaging:

The product comes in this kinda huge compared to my other cleansers, white tube with green tea illustrations on it. Totally love the simple way they package this cleanser. But in contrary to usual style, TheFaceShop actually put the product description on the front side of the tube. I think it's a good thing. Very straightforward.

The symbols tell us that this product last for 12 months after opening and it's advisable to use the product right away after being dispensed.

I love this type of caps. Locks in your product without leaking or spilling.

The product is also sealed before opened. Not only that, when I first bought this, it's wrapped in a plastic wrapped. Nice isn't it? As I'm very particular about products I'm getting, I don't want them to have scratches so I preferred to have them individually wrapped like this. :)

Verdict:

The foam is indeed very creamy. I love it's texture and the scent! Ah~ really refreshing Green Tea scent.

With the added water, lather it up into a very fluffy foam! :D

I usually use my Konjac sponge to aid my cleansing job.

Rich foam usually not only deep cleanse your skin which is a good thing, but sometimes it also can strip your natural moisture off your skin and leave you with tight feeling, which isn't a good thing.

But this cleanser not only give me refreshing feeling, but it also leave me with a very soft and supple skin right after cleansing.

Final verdict: 4/5. If it's not because of the parabens it'll be 5/5. But yeah, I guess I'll just have to find similar but healthier and safer product. :)

I got this during my December Haul and the retailed price is RM32.90 and I remember there was a sale during that time.

I think that's all for the review. Hopefully this this review will benefit you guys. Ah, do share if you ever tried this cleanser and tell me if you have similar product that I can try. :)

I guess I'll see you guys next post! Annyeong!
