Review: TheFaceShop Mango Seed Silk Moisturizing Oil to Foam

Tuesday 8 July 2014
Annyeong, lovelies! How's your week so far? :)

It's been awhile (I know!) and finally, today I'm going to do a product review on this Mango Seed Silk Moisturizing Oil to Foam which basically is a cleansing oil.

As you may already know, Mango Seed line covers not only skincare line, but also has some cleansing products along with it. I heard the cleansing butter is quite good. Says above that this product contains 20, 000 microgram of Natural Mango Seed Butter.

Product Description:
A 2-in-1 cleansing foam that starts as cleansing oil but ends as cleansing foam that helps remove makeup at once.

Directions:
After removing the point makeup, dry your hands and dispense adequate amount and massage the face.
Create foam by wetting your face and hands.
I'd say massage a little bit more before rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Ingredients:
Glycerin, water, potassium cocoate, potassium olivate, PEG-50 Shea Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) fruit extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Butylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Hydroxide, Tromethamine, Fragrance.

First thing first, let's go to the packaging:

The bottle is transparent, which is great as I can tell how many product left, and there's a bottle stopper comes with it to prevent accidental push if you place it in your luggage while traveling.

Basically, it says above how moisturizing this cleansing oil is without leaving the oily feeling after wash while stamp-like logo on the right is stating that the Mango Seed is from natural sources.

There's English description at the back of the bottle. No worries.

Watch out for the manufacturing date at the bottom of the bottle. :)

Verdict:

This time, (from left to right) I used Etude House Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base, Laneige BB Cushion (waterproof), Etude House PRecious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit, there's a small L'Oreal True Match Concealer and just for fun, TheFaceShop Lovely ME:EX Make Me Star Waterproof Gel Liner. Though it's recommended to remove point makeup before using this product.

As shown on the left, I just dispense the product on my hand and on the right, just massage your skin to melt the makeups. Make sure both your skin and hand are dry if not the oil will mix with water before it melt off the makeup and it'll fail to remove them properly.

After few minutes, wet your palms and massage on your skin for awhile until it foam up. But the foam will be thin unlike your usual cleansing foam that has thick foam. Then, wash your face thoroughly with water. Voila! All is gone and my skin feels so smooth and moisturized and definitely no tight feeling to it! :)

Honestly, I do like this product. I think it's like one-step cleansing product that definitely help me save time especially on those days I'm just tired to do double cleansing.

Though this is a fragranced product, the scent is not really that strong to me. It smells fresh and I like it.

Final verdict: 4/5. This product retail for about USD10 online and about 10,000KRW but here in Malaysia it's retailed at RM65.90 and I got this for full price (so unusual of me, I know) as I was desperate to find a cleansing oil that can remove my waterproof Laneige BB Cushion. So yeah, I'll decide whether to repurchase this or not when I'm finished with it.

I find the 200ml bottle is quite tall actually.. hehe

Anyway, I think that's all about this product. Do tell what do you think of this product, and share if you tried a one-step cleansing product before, okay! : Annyeong~
