Annyeong, lovelies! :D How's your week so far? Are you excited for the weekend? I am! As I'm going to do some shopping for 'Back to Uni". Yes, new semester gonna start next week and of course I'm really excited to start a new academic year.
Anyway, today I'm going to review a product from TheFaceShop which is this Oil-Free Toner from the Baby Leaf Green Tea skincare line.
Product Description:
A toner that contains young Green Tea leaf extract that moisturise skin.
Direction:
After cleansing, dispense the adequate amount of product and apply on skin.
Net vol.: 150ml
Packaging:
The product comes in that pretty medium-sized transparent green bottle.
The stamp shown on the left photos says that the source of the product is from organic farming while the photo on the right, there's the product label and do you notice the Dry-Moist bar?
Minus a quarter towards the "Moist", so I'm betting this is most suitable for those with normal to combination skin type.
On the side of the bottle there's the product description and the ingredient list as well.
Note that like other toners, it's to be used within 12 months only.
the product came with a screw-cap which is okay I guess as the toner is quite watery so I've experienced no problem getting the product out of the bottle.
The expire date is printed at the bottom of the bottle so do check before buying.
Verdict:
The consistency of the product is quite watery and the scent is indeed like Green Tea, so refreshing and slightly minty. The product absorbed within seconds right after applied on skin which is so nice!
Overall , I do like this product. Moisture complex (Xanthan gum, Betain, and Glycerin) along with Panthenol that's known for anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties as well.
The product contains 3,000mg of organically grown Boseong green tea extract and the product is a 5-Free system product (no artificial colouring, benzophenone, minerals, animal derived materials and alcohol).
But the fact that the product contains parabens is a minus point for me actually. But still, it's widely used in skincare products so I'm not sure whether it's really really bad that it can cause cancer for real but yeah, I think for the last few months I've been avoiding using parabens-contained products.
I do think that this is actually a very nice product but yeah, I think it's because I like Green Tea so much so I guess I'm a little bit biased on that. hehe But I still think it's suitable for those who need basic moisturizing care for their skin.
Final verdict: 4/5. Love it, but I don't think I'll be purchasing this again as it contains parabens. But I sure do hope it'll be upgraded by the company and use better preservative in the future.
The product is retailed at RM55.90 at local TheFaceShop here in Malaysia but I believed it's retailed around USD8 online and in Seoul as well. So, indeed it's quite affordable I guess.
So I think that's all about this product. What do you think? Have you ever tried any product like this before? Do share, okay!
See you guys next post!
