Review: Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam in Lemon & Garlic

Monday 11 May 2015
Annyeong, lovelies~ It's getting hotter these days isn't it? I'm enjoying a cup of cold green tea right now as it's really good for your body as it helps with detoxifying process.

Anyway, today I'm gonna do a quick review on my current morning cleanser which is this cute Every Month Cleansing Foam in April from Etude House that contains Lemon and Garlic extracts to deep cleanse and purify your skin from impurities especially with current weather these days.

Speaking of detoxifying, lemon, mint leaves and cucumber makes great detoxifying drink!
Product Description:
This is a cleansing foam that brightens up dull skin with its lemon and garlic extracts, providing a solution for unclean, spring skin.
Cleanse skin with fresh lemon and garlic that will brighten up face.

Directions:
Wet face and dispense small amount of Cleansing Foam onto hands.
Lather and apply foam to face, gently massage the entire area.
Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Packaging:

As the product comes in merely 100ml, the tube is quite smaller than any of my regular cleanser and that's why I love bringing this during my short travels. There's product description printed in English at the back of the tube and if you noticed the small symbol at the bar code, it's only good for 6 months after opened.

The sticker that was supposed to be attached as evident by the trace of rubber was removed when I got this cleanser so I didn't have the list of its ingredients. Sigh.

The manufacturing date was printed at the top of the tube so do check before buying.

The cap looks like this. So far it works fine. No leaking during travels even.

Verdict:

If you're familiar with Every Month Cleansing foams, you should know that there are 12 cleansing foams and for April, May, June and August, the foam is fresh cream type which is meant for those with oily skin.

Lemon extracts are known for its goodness to purify and brighten up skin. Even our Datuk Michelle Yeoh once said that to keep her skin clear and bright, she uses lemon juices to apply on her skin once in awhile.

Garlic has large amount of allicin present in it and allicin has antifungal, anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. It is also known to increase antioxidant levels of the skin and body.

Compare to the moist gel type, the foams that formed are quite thicker compared. To be honest, as the bubble is thick, except for my T-zone, my other facial area felt tight after I rinsed off the foam.

As for the scent, it has nice lemon scent. I was afraid it has garlic scent but I didn't smell anything but lemon and citrusy scent.

Final Verdict: 4/5.

Overall, I do love this cleanser for its size and how it works on my skin. I didn't experience breakouts caused by this cleanser. I actually picked this up during my trip to Singapore last year and it costs me like 3 SGD.

So I guess that's it then! Till next post, annyeong~
