In last week's post on my beauty haul for last month, I talked a little bit about my daily makeup routine for office which is all about achieving that natural simple look hence in today's post, I'll be going in with details on the makeup items I use.
Before applying my makeup, I always do my simple morning skincare routine that include cleansing, toning, moisturising and after waiting for like 10 minutes to let my skincare absorbed into my skin, I finish off with a sebum-controlling, colourless and light in texture sunscreen with high SPF. These steps are all considered as my skincare steps.
I usually do my base makeup then go in with my eye makeup, blusher and then set my base with a translucent setting powder before applying my lipstick.
For base, I'm using a sebum-controlling gel, Etude House Zero Sebum All Day Matte Gel to mattify my skin before applying my foundation and the reason is because TheFaceShop Phytogenic Infinite EX Foundation is just not enough for me to wear it on its own. I'm using TheFaceShop Foundation brush to apply the foundation from center outwards and slowly working on the coverage.
Then to set my base (I usually set my T-zone first before proceeding with eye makeup), I use the big pink puff from Etude House to apply that translucent powder, Etude House Zero Sebum Drying Powder. Of course, I need to touch up my makeup after lunch so I usually just go in with that TheFaceShop Phytogenic Infinite EX Powder Foundation and use that Powder Brush also from the brand. I've been using these brushes for more than 2 years and I just love how it stays the same and both brush are so soft for my skin.
I managed to clean that Zoeva palette using wet tissue as I've been using it a lot and there was mixed colour all over it. :D
Now, for eye makeup, I'm still loving that Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper in Grey to define my brows. Then I go in with Fashion Brow Palette also from the brand to fill in the sparse area of my brow and set my brow with the brow powder. I usually just use the small brow brush that comes with the kit and brush my brow with that Mascara Brush & Comb from TheFaceShop.
For this look, I'll go with a combination of 4 eyeshadows from that Zoeva Naturally Yours Palette.
For base colour, I use TheFaceShop Eyeshadow Base & Blending brush to pack Soft & Sexy all over my mobile lid and apply Pure at the crease area to my brow bone to diffuse the colour so it won't appear as harsh line.
To add depth to outer corner of my eye, I work in Slow Dance bit by bit as I'm still heavy handed. I usually just clean my brush using dry tissue before dipping it into other colours as I don't want to mix the colour in the palette.
Then for inner corner of my eye, I apply Sweet Sound to a third of my lid area.
For eyeliner, I'm using Kate Digital Memory Eyeliner in Black and then I use my favourite Etude House Lash Perm Curl Fix! Mascara also in Black after curling my lashes using that eyelash curler from TheFaceShop.
To finish my look, I apply my favourite blush, Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Blusher in Daisy Coral and for lips, I've been wearing a lot of that Maybelline Lip Gradation by Colorsensational in Mauve 1. Honestly, the formulation is probably the best I found in drugstore lipstick and they should come up with more wearable shades like this.
Now that's all of it! What do you think of this simple look? It's quite easy for me and usually took me about half an hour including skincare steps.
This is first makeup look I've posted in this blog and I gotta say that at this point of my life, this is the 'fullest' makeup routine I ever do in my life! I started wearing makeup since high school but that's just powder pacts and lip balms until 2 years ago I got to know base makeups and only last year I started to explore more on point makeups.
Let me know what do you think and I have to give a shoutout to sis Fatimah at Fatimahearts for inspiring me a lot on doing my makeup! I bought lots of lipsticks following her recommendation as I swear to God, I have no idea on where to start!
Until next post, annyeong~
