For the past few months, I've been talking about sebum-controlling beauty products; from cleansing to skincare and of course I had to talk about few makeup items that are helping me in controlling my natural oil from seeping through my makeup.
As I already went in depth on several items that I'm featuring in this post so today I'm gonna share with you guys the routine that I usually do in the morning. In short, this is my current AM routine.
For skincare, my current morning cleanser is Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam from TheFaceShop. It's indeed refreshing and doesn't dry out my skin. Been using for the past month and I do like this cleanser. As the last step for cleansing, I use Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Water from TheFaceShop to tone my skin. I use special cotton pads with netted side and regular side to wipe off my facial area. To lock in the moisture in my skin, I use Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream also from TheFaceShop and I really love its gel texture, how easily it's absorbed into my skin and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or anything. As a final step for my skincare, I apply my favourite sunscreen which is Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture Sun SPF40 also from TheFaceShop. I love its light texture and how it turned colourless once spread and blended on my skin.
For makeup, there are several occasions for me. First is for work where I usually wait for about 15 minutes before applying that sebum controlling primer, Etude House Zero Sebum All Day Matte Gel and proceed with applying base makeup of the day. Then I use Etude House Zero Sebum Drying Powder to set my makeup. I've posted my daily office makeup look so do check that out!
Second is for those days I don't wear much makeup. I usually just finish my skincare and apply that sebum-controlling powder, No Sebum Mineral Powder from Innisfree. It's probably the best translucent or HD powder I've tried so far and it's definitely swappable with the abovementioned powder from Etude House. It keeps my skin matte for few hours and I just have to reapply as needed.
Third is for weekend when I go outdoor and I usually use cushion foundations with high SPF and can be reapplied easily. That Oil Control Water Cushion from TheFaceShop is just an example here as I also use other sebum-controlling cushion foundations like Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control and Innisfree Long Wear Cushion. I use Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Primer under these cushion foundations to prolong its long-lastingness and set with that Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder.
So these are the items I use to keep my face fresh and matte all day! Though I gotta say I haven't got the 'one' product like the 'one' primer for example and I am still looking for it, these are working for my skin I guess as I don't touch up as much as compared to those times when I don't use primers or setting powders for my base makeup.
Do share if you are using these kinds of products as I sure want to try some more.
Until next post, annyeong~!
