Event | The Butterfly Project 6th Birthday Party, D - 1

Sunday 28 April 2019

I decided to attend The Butterfly Project; blogger community right here in Malaysia about a month before the actual party (Tammy managed to convince me!) so yes, here I am in the Twin Tower city and even though the party was yesterday, my heart still throbbing from all the excitement of meeting fellow bloggers and social media influencers!

I flew in from my hometown Kota Kinabalu on Friday, went to the party yesterday and right now I'm all settled in this OYO-managed studio apartment literally 10-minute drive from KLCC and in this first part of the post for the said event, I'm going to talk about my little journey of coming here. Let's jump right in, shall we?

Flew in together with fellow Sabahan bloggers (from left) Geraldine (@wanyyg) and Fay (@frydolinafay) via AirAsia. Our flight was in the afternoon so we'd sure had plenty of time to reach our airbnb for the weekend.

Took my time to indulge myself wearing sheet mask (I know, it's a short flight time) as I didn't do much skincare in the morning. I went with the latest launch from Althea for their A'bloom collection, Water-Me-Long: Moisturising Watermelon Mask Sheet which I find lovely and I've already placed a bulk-order for it.

I don't think I ever sit through a single flight without snacking while on-board and my god, I do miss having this super crunchy and tasty Nacho chips and Guacamole dip! I honestly don't know where I can actually buy this from on land. Let me know if you do.

Once we're landed, we took a shuttle to 1Utama shopping mall and as we're all quite starving, we headed to Auntie Anne's for a quick pretzels run.

As I need to pick up some new pants for the event, I thought to swing by Debenhams at The Curve before meeting up with my best friend and a fellow skincare enthusiast to have dinner at Oiso, a Korean restaurant.

I'd totally forgot to take photos of us while having our dinner at the restaurant and I don't quite remember the exact name for these dishes but I'm sure that's bulgogi; marinated meat in their special sauce while mine is chicken version with a spicier sauce.

Thanks to Caroline (@mask.matters) who drove us to our airbnb so after resting for a little bit that night, I unpacked my luggages to make sure I've got everything for the event; pressing my clothes and whatnot, preparing the exchange gifts for Malaysian Asian Beauty community meetup which I had today and of course, planning and curating my social media postings for the event.

If you didn't know, I'm a huge LANEIGE fan and their skincare products are the ones that frame my whole skincare routine so I do buy their products a lot for the past 5 years hence I've got a varieties of their Gift-With-Purchase including those luggages; the 24in was actually from 2017 Holiday, the 2-tone 20in luggage that's laying in the floor is from last year's Holiday. and the luggage organiser where I've packed my set of clothes and toiletries in. I've also started getting some products from Sulwhasoo so those light rose gold luggage organisers are one of the GWPs that I've received while buying from their Parkson counter.

The above is actually some of the makeup items that I've used for the party. The theme for me is obviously dusty pink so I've picked up some Fenty duo blush-highlighter, their Glass Bomb and highlighter. For base, I was sticking with my current cushion from LANEIGE, the Layering Cover Cushion and mine in No. 33 Cinnamon.

Before heading out, I placed an order from Wingstop, The Curve via GrabFood for their Classic Wings, Voodoo Fries, Onion Rings with some delicious dips!

Now, it's time to get ready for the event! Woohoo!

My humble assemble for the event: Top and outer jacket are from TUCZ, pants from Debenhams, shawl is from TudungPeople Fleur du Jour Winter collection and handbag is from Charles & Keith.

My best friend, Ainul (@ainul_mz). We've been friends for about 8 years now; all the way back from our university days.

All dressed up and looking (and feeling) pretty!

How do we look? Sumandak Sabah bah ini~

Off we went to the party! So that's all from me for now and I'll be updating more on the event tomorrow night hopefully or maybe while waiting for my flight at the airport on Tuesday. I'll talk to you guys very soon! Annyeong~
