Beauty Empties | Sheet Masks 3.0

Friday, 30 March 2018

As you probably have witnessed in my previous post here, my addiction towards sheet masks is getting worse but I just can't help it when I see my overall skin is just loving them so much; pores appearances being reduced (also thanks to AHA and BHA for that), instantly soothes my dry and flaky (and angry!) facial area but honestly, I was just so busy these days I didn't go through 10 steps of skincare even at night as I've been working late. Cleanse, tone and sheet masks were on repeat on those nights and I'm telling you guys that I'm not proud! I seriously need to get back to my full routine.

I tried taking part of a sheet mask challenge that should be completed in the month of January but honestly, a 30-day challenge is too much for my skin so technically I only used 12 sheet masks in January and the above sheet masks with Turquoise-coloured packaging were actually part of it. I gotta say that those sheet masks are heavily associated with pores issues; dead skin cells hence BHA and Bifida ferment lysate, but also brightening and moisturising issues. Probably coincidence though but I can't help getting these more compared to their sisters as Turquoise is my favourite colour.

The rest of 20 sheet masks shown above are those that I've used throughout February till this month of March and as I've already done reviews on most of them, you guys can check out my hashtag on Instagram for that.

Compared to the previous Empties post for sheet masks which was also 3-month's worth of usage, this quarter's slightly lower in number but don't be surprised to see my next post! I've used a lot more than I expected and I'd probably be doing like a summary for those sheet masks as they're the ones that I've bought in bulk like those daily sheet masks from Innisfree and THE FACE SHOP.

I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on my next post! Annyeong~

Beauty Empties 16.0 | March

Thursday, 29 March 2018

Finally, a proper Empties post! As you guys know, I do Empties post every quarter of the year so this is the first one for 2018. This time around, I've emptied some skincare and body products so let's get into it!

For cleansers, I'm finally done with that balm cleanser from Banila Co. I've already opened another on its stead and already loving it so I won't be repurchasing the new upgrade anytime soon. Yet another bottle of THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Water finished before I decided to review it. Not to worry, I've already repurchased it along with its Mild sister. LANEIGE Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil is a great cleansing oil as it works well with removing my makeup and sunscreen however I don't find myself reaching for it quite often as the texture is quite thick and not to my liking. Still, I've finished it and I'd probably won't be repurchasing it anytime soon. As for the Innisfree White Pore Facial Cleanser, now that I finally finished its cleanser I've decided to stop using whatever that's left to the toner and cream as I no longer want to 'control' my sebum and I'm focusing on my hydration and moisture level in my skin instead.

I've also finished my first bottle of LANEIGE Clear C Advanced Effector and already opened a new bottle for it. Like its predecessor, it's great at maintaining my skin texture while boosting the rest of my skincare products effects as it's filled with berries extracts and the difference between the two are their texture; the old one is thick and serum-like while the new version is light and toner-like which is absolutely welcomed to my skincare stash.

Another set of essence and cream that I've finished from LANEIGE White Plus Renew skincare. I still have another bottle and tub for these two respectively so I'll be done with them by then. I've also used some of the Capsule Sleeping Pack also from the same line and I still do like it as I only need to cleanse, tone and use the sleeping mask on lazy nights.

As for that TonyMoly Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack, it's a nice, brightening sleeping mask but I don't get suffice hydration from it so I won't be repurchasing this. By the way, I just found out that we have official TonyMoly online store here in Malaysia. Have you been to the site?

The a;t Fox Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water which is a facial mist that infused with Vitamin C, Gyoolpi or dried Tangerine peel extracts is kinda nice too! I've got this from Althea Box No. 13 Vitamin Box last year and I've used this facial mist up around April I think. I have lots other facial mist to go through so I won't be repurchasing this anytime soon.

Lastly, some body care products that I’ve finished are these two hand creams; Nivea Smooth Nourishing Hand Cream and Innisfree Perfumed Hand Cream in Warm Wood (Christmas 2016 Limited). One was very much nourishing as it contains Macadamia Nut Oil so I used it on very dry skin days while the other one was for when I merely want to skip my perfume and applied heavily scented hand cream especially after lunch time. That Perfumed Body Mist in Cherry Blossom from THE FACE SHOP was a staple on my office table and it literally lasted like a month as I kept spritzing myself with it ever since I got it.

I guess that’s all of it! Some of these skincare products were part of my Round 11.0 skincare and though I didn’t finished much, I’d still consider that much as some sort of accomplishment compared to back then when I’d usually just tossed out stuffs that I didn’t finish.

Until next post! Annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Foot Cream

Wednesday, 28 March 2018

One of the newest habit I got myself into is applying foot cream before bed and I have to admit it's hard at the beginning as once I got into bed, I fall asleep the second my head touches the pillow. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I give out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using in my body care routines i.e. this foot cream.

Actually, I’ve only been using body lotions to moisturise all my body area but then I saw this foot cream while I was at the store and decided to indulge for a little bit with this Shea Butter Foot Cream from L’Occitane. It contains only 15% of Shea Butter so it’s lighter than the hand cream and a little goes a long way with this one as I only have to use small amount per application.

The thing with moisturizer, if you do your scrubbing routine regularly, like once or twice a week, the better your moisturiser being absorbed into skin. As the skin at our arms and legs; pretty much almost body area is thicker than our facial area, it's imperative to do scrub regularly so moisturizing it after can be easy breezy.

I guess that's all from me, I'll see you guys on my next post! Annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Hand Creams

Sunday, 25 March 2018

A hand cream or two with different scents and functions are staple in my handbag/backpack and definitely something I can't leave house without. I have severely dry hands as I'm too lazy to wear gloves while doing dishes or laundry so I just have to compensate the moisture in my skin by regularly applying hand creams, hand lotions even hand balms; depending on how I feel at that time of the day or night. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using in my body care routines so let's get into it!

When it comes to hand care, I must have 3 things; hand wash, hand sanitiser and most importantly or most things that I've indulged so much for my hands are moisturisers for my hand. As I only been using Dettol hand wash and sanitiser, the above are some of my favourite hand creams.

I love perfumed hand creams from Korean beauty brands like Innisfree and THE FACE SHOP especially the ones with floral or smells like baby stuffs. These minis; usually sized in small 30ml tubes are regularly being repackaged as a whole and sometimes being released in limited edition scent and of course packaging which can make me go crazy as I want to collect them all!

On days I feel my hands are extra irritated, I usually go with EUBOS Sensitive Hand Repair & Care; now a favourite brand of mine from Germany along with ZOEVA. Some areas on my fingers tend to get dry and flaky especially after I do my laundry or dishes so this actually smooth out the area and I just love its silky velvety finishes.

I bought my first tube of L'Occitane Intensive Hand Balm thanks to @illiyaridzuan and it went to my dad as his hands are super dry too hence I bought another tube for myself. The brand released several hand creams under their Shea Butter line with different intensities i.e. percentage of Shea Butter and this contains 25% of it. I usually apply this before bed as one, it's inconvenient to carry around that huge tube and two, I just love how moisturised my hands feel in the morning.

Do you use hand creams on daily basis? Do let me know your favourites by leaving comments down below.

Until next post, annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Hair Treatment

Wednesday, 21 March 2018

As I’m a hijabi; I wear hijab on daily basis so I don’t really spend money on hair products other than shampoo, conditioner and hair oil or serum. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using in my body care routines I'll be talking about these two products that I discovered and attempted to try.

The Pure Beauty Treatment Hair Oil which I got about 5 months ago, isn’t something that I use everyday as my scalp and hair tends to get oily under my hijab. If I were to spend more than a day at home, then I’ll apply this after I washed and dried my hair. It’s light but somehow it makes my hair oilier so I usually just take small amount of it and applied my hair ends.

On the other hand, I love the Innisfree Camellia Essential Hair Oil Serum for its light texture and my hair smells great whenever I applied this. The serum absorbed well and I don’t feel as oily as the regular hair oil. I’ll be sure to purchase its full-sized version.

Do you use hair oil or would you prefer serum-type hair treatment? Do let me know by leaving comments down below.

Until next post, annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Body Lotions

Sunday, 18 March 2018

After I started working over 2 years ago, I've spent roughly 12 to 14 hours a day in a full air-conditioned office so that was the time when my legs area became dry and flaky hence I've started piling on body lotions. I prefer those light in consistency however still provide ample moisture for my skin. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using in my body care routines I'll be talking about these products that I've actually love and repurchased several times.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter. What I love the most is indeed the scent and how it moisturizes my skin well without being sticky or tacky feeling. One of the first few things I bought from SEPHORA back then and this has become a staple to my after-shower routine.

The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion. I decided to get the full-sized product when someone gifted to me a small size of it during the time I was obsessed with rose-scented body products. I do like this very much too though sometimes I feel this left a sticky feelings on me.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Soothing and Restoring Body Lotion is the new love that I found end of last year. I never knew that I actually love the honey scent so much! I thought it’s going to be all sticky and whatnot but not this one! It goes smoothly on my skin, absorbed well into it and again I just love it. I heard they're releasing Body Yogurt version of this so I actually am curious to see the texture and feel but for now this going to be staple for awhile.

I guess that's all from me, do let me know your favourite body lotion by leaving comments down below. Until next post, annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Bath Salts

Wednesday, 14 March 2018

To me, even body scrubbing is kind of a stretch to do so when I discovered bath salts, I was indifferent about it until I tried one. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using in my body care routines I'll be talking about the first bath salt I ever tried so let's get into it!

For bath salts, you'll be needing bath tub filled with water but we don't have that in my place so I opted for basin that can fit my feet. I usually just filled it up with water half towards my knee  and poured in a table spoon of the bath salts and just soak my feet for as long as I want to. According to Chinese medical studies, there are lots of nerve endings at out feet so the salts detoxifies our body by pulling out the toxins and helps in releasing our stress from head to toe.

The whole routine is indeed relaxing especially when I added in some essential oils like rosehip or lavender but most of the time I usually just light up some scented candles and scrubbing my legs while I'm soaking my feet.

Do you use bath salts? Would you try some?

Body Care Routine | Shampoo Oh La La!

Sunday, 11 March 2018
My scalp condition has always been oily, with dandruff-prone and lots of hair fall. I wear hijab everyday; roughly 12 to 14 hours a day so basically I need refreshing, hydrating and heavenly scented shampoo and conditioner. Don't we all? For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products i.e. body washed that I'm currently using in my body care routines so let's get into it!

My regular problem-free daily shampoo and conditioner Sunsilk Hijab Recharge Refresh (the green colour; not pictured) that I have been using since teen years. I've tried other drugstore shampoos and conditioners along the way but I've always come back to Sunsilk.

Of course, I always love trying other products so recently I've discovered the Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo and Conditioner and these are the bomb! It's much more refreshing and I just love the cooling sensation at the same time, these don't dry out my scalp which is great! I've also received deluxe sample for Innisfree Camellia Essential Shampoo and Conditioner as GWP at the store and I've been loving this too especially because of its hydrating property and the scent is really nice.

I gathered some more hair care products to try next so stay tuned for that! That's all from me and I'll see you guys in my next post! Annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Body Scrubs

Wednesday, 7 March 2018

Whether you're working in an office or being outdoor all day long, body scrub is imperative as facial scrub; they need to be used once or twice weekly to get rid dead skin cells and improve absorption rate of products that being applied all over the skin. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products i.e. body washed that I'm currently using in my body care routines so let's get into it!

Now, when it comes to body scrub, I’ve been repurchasing nothing but these from Soap & Glory. Of course, I love The Body Shop scents a lot but their scrubs just don’t get me hooked as much as Soap & Glory’s did. Soap & Glory Scrub ‘Em and Leave ‘Em is the first one I got from SEPHORA and I’ve been loving it ever since. It works well, I love the scent especially and it’s not abrasive for my skin and legs area.

Soap & Glory The Scrub of My Life is essentially for my shins and elbows; dry and rough skin area. It’s perfect for the job as this moisturises while scrubbing off the dead skin cells.

I got the Coffee Body Scrub from @thepinkdiamond.co as giveaway gift and I’ve been loving this as well. I love coffee and the scent for this is just perfect for me and most importantly, this works! I'll come up with a quick review soon to let you guys know my thoughts on this.

I guess that's all for now, I'll see you guys on my next post! Annyeong~

Body Care Routine | Shower Companions

Sunday, 4 March 2018

For today's (and the next upcoming weeks) post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products that I'm currently using at certain point of my body care routines so let's get into it!

For body wash, I use different kinds for my morning and evening shower. The above are for my morning shower; moisturising and highly scented according to my choice of fragrance of the day. Among my favourites that I've purchased several times is The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose; I've been obsessing with rose-scented body products for the past few months and this is one of the first that I got my hands onto. What I like the most when it comes to shower gels from the brand is how small amount can lather lots of thick foam provided if you're using bath flowers or similar tools.

Another one is The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey; a perfect shower companion on days I feel so dry and flaky (when I forgot to put my air-conditioner on timer) as this shower cream cleanses and moisturises my body at the same time. Not forgetting the addicting honey scent!

Sephora Collection Cotton Flower Bubble Bath and Shower Gel is something I picked up from the store simply because of its cute packaging but I do love the scent as it turned out. It doesn't moisturise as much and the scent doesn't really last long so I don't really find myself reaching back to it. Probably going to get refills of other shower gels once I'm done with this.

For my evening shower, I prefer to use refreshing and anti-bacterial shower gels from Shokobutsu with Sakura and Green Tea are my favourite variants. Not in the photo as I usually buy refills for my Daiso soap dispenser.

I guess that's all for now! I'll see you guys on my next post. Annyeong~
