Blogging and engaging on social media can be interesting and fulfilling especially for those people who are like me; having small circle of friends in real life (which I appreciate and love) and maintaining (read: struggling) a well-balanced life between work and family. Most of my friends and colleagues have no interest in skincare or makeup so I opened a second Instagram account just for my passion towards K-Beauty as I don't want to appear bit more obvious than I am on regular days where I reapply my sunscreens before lunch and use sheet mask while sipping on iced tea in the break room when I'm too lazy to go out during early evening.

Up until 2016, I was all about writing reviews on my blog and posted on Instagram like once or twice a month. You probably noticed that there aren't lots of comments here in my blog and I haven't got much of engagement here because I just changed my domain back in March hence previous comments are all gone but actually, people like to engage more on social media these days, I think?  Anyway, while I was trying to figure out my next step for this blog, I was invited to be part of Malaysian-based Beauty Community around early 2017 and we went by #myabcommunity on Instagram. I was all aboard with the idea of engaging with other Malaysian-based beauty enthusiasts as I’ve got the opportunity to meet new friends on social media (not just Instagram) and as it turned out, we’ve become friends in real life as well so at that point, I’ve realised that things will be much more interesting from that moment on. 

Now, to be part of Althea’s Beauty Ambassador Community is something I’m grateful for as I get to enjoy lots of perks like getting more products to try and review, discount codes for my followers and readers, better opportunities in terms of brand awareness, attending events; all in the hope to grow of becoming an influencer. The size of this Althea Box is the same as their regular Medium Box and comes with that ANGEL logo at top right corner with Althea Angels wording at the lower half of the box continuing onto the front lid area. Mask Review | HELLOSKIN Jumiso Water-Splash Mask

I've been so busy especially the past few weeks and I'm so sad as I couldn't finish my January sheet mask challenge even though I've gone through so much finding the required sheet masks to befit the theme of the day and curating the products that work with the sheet mask itself.

Description:

• The marine plants enhance moisturising effect on the skin
• Contains shea butter to prevent the moisture from being evaporated effectively, the Phytex G Lotus Al; the patented ingredient extracted from lotus that soothes the skin, ceramide complex that similar to the skin lipids which help strengthening skin elasticity, and 3 Hyaluronate Complex; 3 kinds/sizes of Hyaluronic Acids that enhances the moistuirising effect both on the surface and deep layers of the skin

Usage time || 10 to 20 minutes

Impression || I super love the sheet for this mask! It’s super thin my skin feels like almost naked! It adheres to the curve of my facial area so well too! I walked around with the mask on and it didn’t even slide down a bit. Took it off at 20 minutes mark and the sheet was still wet with essence.

The essence is actually quite thick and ampoule-like. The scent is quite strong so if you don’t like fragrance do stay away from this one

My thoughts || I’ve been busy, my skin is feeling really dry as all I’ve been doing was deep cleansing, toning and sleeping masks right after but still lacking in the moisture department. Hence this mask to the rescue! 

I gotta say that the sheet mask is definitely great for those with really dry skin as it took my normal to oily skin 45 minutes for the ampoule of the mask to really absorbed well into my dry cheek area and I’m still feeling sticky on my T-zone area. I was so relieved that I didn't break out in the morning. 

Overall, 4/5. All thanks to the sheet and how well hydrated (triple HA, people!) I’m feeling right now. I'm pretty sure I won't be opting for this on regular basis as it's too intense for my oily area.

You simply can’t get around it, there are some items you must have in your wardrobe that you can throw on at any time. The right pair of jeans, tees, flats, heels, pumps and the right accessories that can really set you apart when you are in a crowd. These are some fashion essentials every woman should own.

Embrace your height, wear your skinny jeans and white blouse proudly!

It doesn’t have to be flashy or stand out. It’s very handy to have a pair of earrings you can throw on with any outfit, and a necklace that accentuates your outfits. Sometimes, it is all that’s needed to really set you apart from someone wearing a similar outfit.

Every woman knows the right essentials go a long way in helping you stand out in a crowd and truly looking your best no matter where you are going or what you are doing. These are a few essential items for every closet no matter what time of year. You can put them on and feel confident.
